KELLY PARKER

A NOVEL

Kelly Parker is thirty-three years old. She is an attractive, intelligent, independent, outgoing, adventurous woman. However, with all the numerous accolades bestowed upon her, there is not that one special man in her life. Maybe her occupation is the cause of her being single. Making such an announcement about her profession would not be in her best interest nor for anyone else. Imagine what a prospective male partner would think if he asked Kelly what she does for a living and she truthfully answered,
“I kill people.”

The Ghost of Bentley Manor:

A young couple born of English aristocratic families, each well educated and proper, often meet at balls offered by the nobility. A secret romance ensues, a proposal, and wedding soon follow. Much to the dismay of the families the young couple immigrate to America in the mid 1800’s. Inheriting wealth they build a massive Queen Anne mansion. Years pass and so do they. It is said ghostly forms rose from their remains and haunt the Manor. Yet, no one has ever seen a ghost. Many believe those tales of yore are nothing but poppycock.
A retired couple of today’s era, always on the lookout for a decent home to make into a bed and breakfast, stumble upon a hidden 1870’s dilapidated mansion. Thrilled with their find, they are convinced guests would be pleased staying at a grandiose manor. Told it is haunted. Matters not. The mansion is purchased and brought up to date.
Hearsay of ghosts comes true. Interaction between the dead and living happens. The paranormal world enters and reacts. Not good. Trouble unfolds within the Manor. Destruction of property. What was once grandiose is no more. Guests flee the Manor fearful of what may come. The law arrives as does the media. Owner arrested. Clairvoyants solicited. A plan to restore the Manor is put to the test.

Your Beauty Becomes You:

The story unfolds around a woman of means. An attractive woman noted to be an upstanding member of the community. Not to be. Unknown to the local population she is the leader of a human trafficking cell. Her lucrative world begins to collapse when a disgruntled employee turns to the authorities. Concerned for her well-being, certainly not to be incarcerated, she takes steps to protect her existence and safe haven. A previous plan is acted upon, bringing about an unexpected happening. Her life changes for the better. Unfortunately, those changes are short term. She has to run. Taking flight to avoid the authorities she finds herself in situations unbecoming a lady.
